Title and number of positions: Professor, 1 person (No Fixed Term)

Position description: Professor in Area of Intelligent Systems, Systems Science Division, Department of Systems Innovation, Graduate School of Engineering Science, Osaka University (1-3 Machikaneyama-cho, Toyonaka, Osaka), who expertize intelligent systems (cognitive science, pattern recognition, artificial intelligence, human interface, intelligent robot) and their applications.

The applicant (1) must have a PhD degree, (2) should be able to give lectures for undergraduate students in Intelligent System course, and for graduate school students in Division of Systems Science, (3) should have outstanding research achievement in his/her area of expertise, and have willing for contributing to the development of the division, and (4) will be expected to speak fluent Japanese sufficient for giving lectures and performing administrated duties within several years.

Employment Form: Based on the ‘Regulations Pertaining to Working Hours, Holidays and Leave for National University Corporation Osaka University Staff’

※Discretionary Labor System, Special Work Type

Salary: Based on the ‘Salary Regulations for National University Corporation Osaka University Staff’.

Insurance: National Public Service Personnel Mutual Aid Associations, Employment Insurance and Workers’ Accident Compensation Insurance

Start of the term: June 1, 2018 (or as soon as thereafter)
