Professor Keisuke Fujii and Associate Professor Daisuke Iwai have received the 19th (2022) JSPS Prize

Professor Keisuke Fujii, Division of Advanced Electronics and Optical Science and Associate Professor Daisuke Iwai, Division of System Science have received the 19th (FY2022) Japan Society for the Promotion of Science (JSPS) Prize. In order to raise the level of scientific research in Japan to the world's highest standard, this prize has been established in recognition and support of young researchers with rich creativity and superlative research ability at an early stage in their careers. To sustain the zeal of such researchers while offering them support in advancing their work, the JSPS Prize has been established to develop the level of academic research in Japan to the world's top level.

This year's award is in recognition of their respective research as follows.

"Pioneering Research on Quantum Computing Theory and Quantum Software for the Realization of Quantum Computers"
(Prof. FUJII)
"Reproduction and Control of Physical Surface Texture Using Projection Mapping"
(Assoc Prof. IWAI)

The award ceremony is scheduled to be held at the Japan Academy in February 2023.
